Warranty Policy
OZ Gutters
Last updated: 8 October 2026
At OZ Gutters, we stand behind the products and services we provide and aim to deliver reliable solutions for every project.
This Warranty Policy explains how product and service warranty claims are handled by OZ Gutters.
This policy operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian law.
1. Product Warranties
Some products supplied by OZ Gutters may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty.
Where a manufacturer warranty applies, the warranty is subject to the manufacturer's terms, conditions and warranty period.
If you believe a product may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty, contact us and provide details of the product and your purchase.
We can assist with the warranty process where appropriate.
2. OZ Gutters Services
Where OZ Gutters provides installation, repairs, maintenance or other services, we aim to provide those services with due care and skill and in accordance with the agreed scope of work.
If you believe there is an issue with work we have completed, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess the situation.
Depending on the circumstances, we may arrange an inspection, repair, rectification or other appropriate remedy.
3. What May Not Be Covered
Warranty coverage may not apply to issues caused by circumstances outside the reasonable control of OZ Gutters or the product manufacturer.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Accidental damage
- Misuse or improper use
- Neglect or lack of reasonable maintenance
- Unauthorised alterations or modifications
- Damage caused by third parties
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by extreme weather or other external events
- Problems caused by existing structures or conditions outside the agreed scope of work
- Installation or modification carried out by someone other than OZ Gutters where relevant
This list is not intended to limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
4. Warranty Claims
If you believe a product or service is covered by a warranty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
To help us assess your claim, we may request:
- Your name and contact details
- Invoice or proof of purchase
- Details of the product or service
- Date of purchase or installation
- A description of the issue
- Photographs or videos showing the issue
- Other information reasonably required to assess the claim
We may need to inspect the product, property or completed work before determining the appropriate outcome.
5. Warranty Assessment
Once we receive a warranty claim, we will assess the circumstances and determine whether the issue is covered by an applicable manufacturer warranty, service warranty or consumer guarantee.
Where appropriate, we may:
- Repair the affected product or work
- Replace a product or component
- Arrange for the manufacturer to assess the product
- Provide another appropriate remedy
- Provide a refund where required by law
The appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances and any rights or obligations that apply under Australian law.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with certain guarantees relating to products and services.
These guarantees may apply regardless of whether a separate manufacturer's warranty or service warranty is available.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Warranty Limitations
Where a manufacturer's warranty applies, the manufacturer's warranty terms may determine the applicable warranty period, exclusions and claim requirements.
Where OZ Gutters provides a separate written warranty for a particular product or service, the terms of that specific warranty will apply.
If there is any inconsistency between this policy and a specific written warranty provided to you, the specific warranty terms will apply to the extent permitted by law.
8. Maintenance and Care
Customers are responsible for taking reasonable care of products and completed work and following any applicable maintenance or care instructions.
Regular cleaning and maintenance may help prevent blockages, overflow and avoidable damage.
Failure to carry out reasonable maintenance may affect a warranty claim where the issue has resulted from that lack of maintenance, subject always to applicable consumer rights.
